Rainy Days and Tuesdays

The best thing about rain is that you don't have to shovel it. Knowing that the folks up north will receive moisture from the same storm system in the form of snow makes living here so easy.

It's also nice to see so many birds at the backyard feeders.   The bright crimson of the woodpecker's head and the cardinals can always makes me smile on an otherwise dreary day.  The red tube feeder was full this morning.  The birds just LOVE those black-oil sunflower seeds!  The woodpecker is enjoying a peanut suet cake.  Soon I'll be putting out the hummingbird feeders.  

This weekend it's time to set the clocks ahead - a sure sign that spring is here.
